Friday and long awaited spring are finally here. Pretty cherry blossom trees in bloom make everything more magical, don't you think? Now that the weather is getting much better and sun is shining, I can't wait to explore new places (and step out the library for a while). Hope you will like the photos and will have a wonderful weekend!
As the strawberry season has started, I decided to bake a delicious and creamy strawberry cheesecake. These warm June evenings is my favorite time for trying new summertime recipes, inviting friends and enjoying the home-made desserts in the garden. This cheesecake with strawberry topping is perfect for filling up a Friday evening by baking. If you are interested in trying it, here is the recipe:
For the crust:
100 g butter, melted
200 g almond biscuits
(cantuccini)
1 lemon or lime
For the filling:
250 g mascarpone
200 g sour cream
50 g sugar
2 eggs
For the topping:
400 g fresh strawberries
Recipe:
* Start by pounding biscuits in small pieces for the cake crust. Add the melted butter and the juice of half of lemon or lime. Line the cake form with baking paper, spread the crust in the form. Preheat oven to 160 degrees.
* Then continue with the filling by mixing mascarpone, sugar, eggs and the other half of lemon or lime juice. Pour the filling into the prepared crust.
* Bake it for 50 minutes and let the cheesecake cool down afterwards.
* Finally the best part- decorating. Cut strawberries in small pieces for the topping.
Enjoy the cake and have a great weekend! :)
Le bonheur est fait de petites choses... Happiness is really made of small things. Yesterday I received silver medal in the National Olympiad in French language. I am so happy because hard work and doing what you love pays off in the end. After the award ceremony I passed by beautiful Art Nouveau buildings and cherry blossom trees in bloom. Spring is almost here. Have a great weekend!Bisous.
It`s finaaally Friday! After an extremely important week ( I had to present my scientific research paper in history of art about Spanish
Empire`s golden age and the discovery of the Frigate Mercedes - a cultural treasure recovered), it is the time to enjoy the most of the weekend. A little walk by the Baltic Sea as well as delicious lemon and strawberry meringue pies made this Friday a good one. I wish you to spend an excellent weekend!

There's nothing better than sketching on a Friday evening (I love watercoloring), re-reading and leafing trough Vogue Paris magazine archives and trying way too much macarons, I admit. What are Friday evenings for right? Wish you an awesome week-end!

What would be an autumn without a home-made apple pie? I truly cannot imagine this season without baking this wonderful (and guilt free) dessert. After a tough week, cooking, feeling the indescribably good smell and taste of apple pie, I enjoyed the beauty of Friday evening. These are the small things that matter the most and brighten our days...
What is your favourite dessert in autumn?
Lots of love and happy weekend!
No matter which city it is, it is always only for the best to change the everyday route and see your town in a different light.
After going to Mercado de San Miguel and buying a delicious raspberry macaron and refreshing mango smoothie, I tried new streets in Sol quartier. For me it was a real discovery. Small streets, extraordinary façades and gardens revealed another face of Madrid.I wish you all a great Friday! :) After all changing a route is worth a try, isn't it?
Evening walk in the beautiful Parque del Retiro, orange tulips and oh,so delicious cakes as well as finding some free time to sketch were the small things that made this Friday a good one.I wish you to enjoy this weekend! :)
"A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because it's trust is not in the branch, but in its own wings. Be yourself." Happy Friday, everyone!
It's the little things that matter the most. Walking near Caixa Forum, I discovered a lovely place called Vertical Caffè . Caffe Latte, view to Paseo del Prado shiny lights and the atmosphere was brilliant. It definitely is one of my it places where I would love to return.
